Welcome to the site of Abbotsford Amateur Radio Emergency Services Society (AARESS) and the VE7ASM repeater. AARESS exists to render service to the public, and to the Government, and in particular to the City of Abbotsford, in times of emergency or disaster, by establishing effective emergency communications employing licensed Amateur Radio Operators. It also exists to further the art of Amateur Radio by promoting and increasing the knowledge, skill and proficiency of the members in all matters relating to Amateur Radio.
Swap Meet
The next swap meet will take place on May 23, 2026 from 10am to noon.

Basic Licensing Course
The next licensing class will begin on September 21, 2026 at 7:00 pm.
